Novel Searching.
I need some suggestions for some readin'. I don't want to read some sappy family saga drama though. Right now I'm reading about Krakatoa... volcano near Indonesia (west coast of Java) that blew to high hell in 1883. Sort of a cool read so far.

Sightseeing - pretty good, a set of short stories so if you don't like it you can bale early
Dying Light - sometimes downright disturbing, but pretty damn cool in a weird way, also a set of short stories
Picturing the wreck - has a lot of promise, but the sappy ending may ruin it for you man
Gates of Fire - Epic story of the battle of Thermopylae, pretty cool so far, just got started, I will let you know how it goes
The Alchemist: everyone should read this book, it is a really simple read, but profound
Shadow of the Wind: a really cool story, kind of sappy and romantic, but plenty of mystery, murder, and shit (Count of Monte Cristo style)
If you don't read something after all those recommendations, then you really are destined to stay in school the rest of your life.
